Training Institutes Registered Under the Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational and Tertiary Education				Back to Home Page
	The institutes are registered to conduct specific courses & training specified by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission and the details of those courses & training specified for each institute are available with Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission. The courses conducted at the institutes should fall under the category of tertiary education or vocational education as per definition (page 202). However the courses of studies in following areas shall not fall under the above definition for registration (Details in Gazette 887/8 - 7th September 1995 – Part I)
	• Languages or literature and Sports & recreation activities • Dancing, music, performing arts, or any other form of aesthetics • Culinary practices, house keeping or other household skills • Education or training in leadership , youth work, social work or community development for voluntary social work • In-service training provided by organizations for their employees		•Education & training provided to employees of a particular sub-sector such   as Banking Sector for skill upgrading or to award professional qualification •Religious education and Occult science •Orientation / awareness programmes for entrepreneurship development •Training in the form of short term extension services for agricultural and   fishery workers •Any other course which does not directly fall into the definition of tertiary   education or vocational education or training.
